La Justicia federal de Tierra del Fuego falló a favor de la Asociación Rural de esa provincia y suspendió por 30 días la resolución 460/2025 del Senasa, que habilitaba el ingreso de carne con hueso plano desde zonas con vacunación contra la fiebre aftosa hacia la Patagonia, que es libre de la enfermedad sin vacunación, una medida que había sido rechazada por los productores locales.
La jueza Mariel Borruto, firmante del fallo, consideró que la resolución del Senasa podría generar un perjuicio grave e inmediato al habilitar el tránsito de productos cárnicos con hueso desde zonas con vacunación contra la fiebre aftosa hacia una región reconocida internacionalmente como libre de esa enfermedad sin vacunación.
La medida polémica del Gobierno a entró en vigencia en junio pasado y provocó la suspensión del reconocimiento sanitario por parte de Chile, en tanto que la Unión Europa evalúa una auditoría de seguimiento.
