La producción de café de Colombia en agosto fue de 1,24 millones de sacos de 60 kg., un alza de 19% frente a mismo mes del año anterior, informó la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros (FNC).
Según explicó el gerente de la entidad, German Bahamon Jaramillo, este resultado prolonga el impulso visto en el mes de julio y refleja el desfase en la cosecha del primer semestre, debido a lluvias persistentes que desplazaron la recolección hacia el inicio del segundo semestre.
Así, la producción acumulada en los últimos 12 meses (sep. 2024 ago. 2025) ascendió a 14,79 millones de sacos, un incremento interanual del 18%. En lo corrido del año (ene.ago. 2025) la producción suma 8,83 millones de sacos, un alza del 10% en base interanual.
Respecto a las exportaciones, Colombia envió al exterior en agosto, un total de 1,13 millones de sacos, lo que representó un aumento de 10% respecto a agosto 2024. En el año móvil, las exportaciones alcanzaron 13,23 millones de sacos, con un crecimiento del 13% frente al periodo anterior.
Las importaciones preliminares del mes fueron de 146 mil sacos, acumulando 776 mil en los últimos 12 meses. El consumo interno se mantiene estable con un estimado móvil de 2,25 millones de sacos anuales.
