United States’ soybean harvest advances at a fast pace

Porto Alegre, October 5, 2021 – The harvest of the new US soybean crop had another week of strong advances in the main states of the growing belt. With low moisture, the harvest advanced at an accelerated pace, above the normal average for this time of year.

According to USDA, as of September 26, 16% of the US area had already been reaped. In the week earlier, the index was 6%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 18%, while the five-year average for the period is 13%.

As for crop conditions, USDA indicated they remained unchanged in the period between September 20 and 26.

Weather forecasts point to a slightly moister week in some states between October 1 and 7, but without major rainfall volumes.
