El Gobierno argentino resolvió postergar para el primer trimestre de 2026 la licitación para la privatización del Belgrano Cargas, uno de los principales operadores ferroviarios de carga del país.
Rol estratégico
Belgrano Cargas y Logística administra una red ferroviaria que atraviesa la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y 15 provincias, operando con 11 unidades productivas y 8 talleres.
La empresa transporta principalmente productos agrícolas, minerales, piedra, carbón de coque, madera y bienes de consumo, cumpliendo un rol clave para la logística del sector agropecuario.
Esquema de privatización
Según lo aprobado hasta el momento, el proceso prevé una privatización total mediante un esquema de desintegración vertical y open access.
Este modelo permitirá que múltiples operadores privados utilicen la misma red ferroviaria, abonando un canon por el uso de la infraestructura, con el objetivo de fomentar la competencia y mejorar la eficiencia del sistema.
