En el marco de la Jornada de Carnes y Granos realizada durante la Expo Rural, entidades del sector agro y representantes del Gobierno, volvieron a debatir sobre las modificaciones a una nueva Ley de Semillas.
Si bien el sector aún no tiene una posición de consenso tomada, el presidente del Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE), Martín Famulari, confirmó que el Gobierno trabaja en una nueva legislación y ratificó la intención de promover la adhesión al convenio UPOV 91.
Vamos a ir con una nueva Ley de Semillas y vamos a impulsar UPOV 91 en el Congreso, pero queremos que lo que suceda sea por consenso, afirmó Famulari.
En otra oportunidad, en el mes de mayo, la autoridad del Instituto Nacional había señalado la necesidad de que el Estado actúe en rol de árbitro para encontrar un punto de acuerdo yreafirmando que el país se había comprometido a presentar en el Congreso el UPOV 91.
Desde la Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA), Tomás Palazón sostuvo debe construirse con amplio respaldo de todos los sectores mientras que la Federación Agraria Argentina (FAA), representada por Andrea Sarnari, alertó que aún existen diferencias respecto a la adhesión.
