Less rain and more heat in Brazilian coffee areas

The forecast is for heat and light rain, with the presence of a system known as High Level Cyclonic Vortices (HLCV) over much of southeastern Brazil. Thus, in the next 7 days, the volume of rainfall must reach 20 mm in Alta Mogiana, Cerrado, Espírito Santo, Zona da Mata de Minas, and Bahia. In Baixa Mogiana and southern Minas Gerais, accumulated precipitation must range from 20 to 40 mm. Only in Alta Paulista and northern Paraná the rain must be more voluminous, with accumulations in the period between 40 and 70 mm due to the advance of a new cold front.

On the last weekend of January, the rain will spread through coffee-producing areas, with the exception of Bahia, Zona da Mata de Minas, and Espírito Santo, where moisture will remain low. The forecast is from Somar Meteorologia.
