The harvest of Brazil’s new soybean season had another week of reasonable progress in most of the country’s growing states.

In the states of the central strip of the country, the works are virtually closed in Mato Grosso, while the other states in the Midwest and Southeast are advancing to the latter areas.

According to a survey conducted by SAFRAS & Mercado until April 3, 82.2% of a total sown area of 37.112 million tons were reaped, equivalent to approximately 30.50 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was 74.4%. In the same period last year, 83.1% of the area had already been reaped, while the five-year average for the period is 78.5%.
