La Dirección de Información y Estudios Económicos de la Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario (DIyEE-BCR) lanza Índice de Actividad de la Cadena Agropecuaria (IACA), un indicador de periodicidad mensual diseñado para resumir la dinámica de este sector clave, responsable del 20% del PBI y el 60% de las exportaciones del país.
¿Cómo se compone el Índice IACA-BCR?
El IACA-BCR general se compone de tres subíndices (IACA-Cultivos, IACA-Agroindustria e IACA-Agroexportación), que integran 12 series representativas de la actividad, como molienda de granos, faena y producción de biocombustibles, utilizando datos de fuentes oficiales como la SAGyP y el INDEC.
«Este lanzamiento es importante porque no existía un índice oficial ni privado consolidado para el seguimiento mensual del sector agropecuario», remarcan desde la BCR.
El índice se construye como un promedio ponderado de las variaciones mensuales, donde el peso de cada serie se asigna según su valor agregado al PIB del país, proporcionando una «foto» sintética de la cadena con base 100 en 2013. La proyección es que el IACA-BCR se convierta en una herramienta fundamental para el análisis económico al ofrecer la información mensual que el sector necesitaba.
