La agencia calificadora S&P Global Ratings, confirmó calificaciones soberanas de largo plazo para México, en ‘BBB’ para moneda extranjera y en moneda local ‘BBB+’. La perspectiva se mantiene estable.
Respecto a la perspectiva estable, S&P considera que se refleja una expectativa para que México estabilice sus finanzas públicas y su nivel de deuda durante los próximos dos años, a través de una gestión macroeconómica cautelosa.
Por otro lado, también esperan que el gobierno comandado por Claudia Sheinbaum, gestione de manera pragmática sus relaciones comerciales con EE.UU., con el fin de mantener la integración de los dos países.
S&P Global Ratings plantea un escenario negativo, donde la calificación bajaría, en caso de que México no logré reducir el déficit fiscal, derivando en carga de intereses más altos. El escenario podría provocar finanzas públicas más débiles, combinadas con el riesgo de un respaldo extraordinario mayor para las empresas estatales Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
