Porto Alegre, September 8th, 2025 –The Brazilian physical market of conillon/robusta registered a strong appreciation in August and maintained its gains in early September. Type 7/8 conillon in Espírito Santo is currently quoted at BRL 1,415 to 1,425 per 60-kg bag, up from the same period last year and widening the positive difference from the five-year average (2020 to 2024), which for September is at approximately BRL 861 per bag (values deflated by IGP-M).
Conillon is supported by the appreciation at the London terminal, the strength of export differentials—due to increased external competition—and demand from the domestic industry. The withdrawal of sellers, despite the large volume still available, helps support prices. However, the high stockpiles held by growers, combined with the arrival of the new crop from Vietnam in October, could exert future pressure on conillon prices.
