Esta medida, seg\u00fan los analistas, podr\u00eda provocar un aumento de la tensi\u00f3n con Estados Unidos, tras la resoluci\u00f3n de una disputa comercial.<\/p>\n<p>La medida de la presidenta de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, Claudia Sheinbaum, se produce despu\u00e9s de que un panel de disputas comerciales dictaminara en diciembre que las restricciones de M\u00e9xico al ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico, importado principalmente de Estados Unidos, violan el Acuerdo Estados Unidos-M\u00e9xico-Canad\u00e1 (T-MEC).<\/p>\n<p>Como resultado de la decisi\u00f3n del panel del T-MEC, M\u00e9xico levant\u00f3 sus restricciones a la importaci\u00f3n de ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico para uso humano, ganadero e industrial.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico ya hab\u00eda prohibido la siembra comercial de variedades de ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico, argumentando que contaminar\u00edan las variedades nativas del grano, pero Sheinbaum prometi\u00f3 prohibir oficialmente la siembra de ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico en su territorio a trav\u00e9s de la Constituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Con la reforma de Sheinbaum aprobada por 409 votos a favor y 69 en contra, el ma\u00edz nativo es etiquetado como elemento de identidad nacional y el ma\u00edz gen\u00e9ticamente modificado queda oficialmente prohibido de sembrarse en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La C\u00e1mara de Diputados del Congreso de M\u00e9xico aprob\u00f3 el martes (25) una reforma constitucional para prohibir la siembra de ma\u00edz gen\u00e9ticamente modificado (GM).
