Porto Alegre, July 21st, 2025 \u2013 The harvest progressed well over the week, again benefiting from drier weather in much of Brazil\u2019s coffee-growing regions. According to a weekly survey by SAFRAS & Mercado, through July 16, 77% of Brazil\u2019s 2025\/26 coffee crop had already been reaped, representing an 8% increase over the week earlier. The pace remains quite fast, surpassing the same period last year (74%) and also the five-year average (2020\u20132025), which is 69% for this time of year.<\/p>\n

The canephora (conillon\/robusta) harvest remains ahead of schedule, despite rainfall in some regions of Esp\u00edrito Santo. The harvest has already reached 93% of production, approaching the final stretch and confirming initial expectations of a large crop. This performance is in line with the same period last year (93%) and also above the five-year average of 87%.<\/p>\n

In the case of arabica, the harvest is also progressing at a good pace, with 67% of production already reaped\u2014a 9% increase compared to the previous week. This progress is ahead of that registered in the same period in 2024 (65%) and remains above the five-year average of 60% for this time of year. Reports continue of weaker coffees in Minas Gerais, due to higher moisture this year, and lower-than-expected yields in the second half of the harvest, which could impact the final outcome.
