This week\u2019s rains slowed down the harvest progress and drying, especially of arabica. According to the weekly monitoring by SAFRAS, as of June 11, 35% of the 2025\/26 crop had already been reaped, up 7% from the previous week. As a result, the harvest remains slightly below that registered in the same period last year, when the rate was 37%, but above the five-year average (2020\u20132025), which is 33%.<\/p>\n
A highlight is the harvest progress of canephora (conillon\/robusta), which already reached 49% of the total production. Work has been favored by drier weather. Despite the good performance last week, the percentage reaped is still below the one registered in the same period last year (51%) and the five-year average (50%). The crop results remain positive, reinforcing the idea of \u200b\u200ba large conillon\/robusta crop, especially in Esp\u00edrito Santo.<\/p>\n
In the case of arabica, work has lost intensity due to excessive rainfall, especially in southern\u00a0 Minas Gerais, S\u00e3o Paulo and northern Paran\u00e1. The harvest reached 26% of total production, which represents an increase of only 5% over the previous week. The pace remains below that observed in the same period last year, when 30% of the crop had already been reaped. However, it is above the five-year average, which is 25% for this time of year.<\/p>\n
Although there are records of some problems with beans, the profile of the arabica crop, in general, is more positive compared to last year, especially with regard to the bean size. Since the arabica harvest still totals just over a quarter of the expected output, and the percentage of processed coffee is much lower than that reaped, it is still too early to draw definitive conclusions.
