Porto Alegre, February 19, 2024\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Prices in the country\u2019s main ports remain under pressure due to the global supply situation and remained almost stabilized last week. However, a slight increase ended up being registered. Soybeans have been unable to react in Chicago due to the fundamentals of greater grain supply in 2024. Even so, there were reports of better volumes sold, mainly due to demand from the industry, which left prices above the market average due to the need for available soybeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 60-kg bag went from BRL 115.00 to BRL 117.00 in Passo Fundo (RS) in one week. In the same period, prices increased from BRL 108 to BRL 110 in Cascavel (PR). In Rondon\u00f3polis (MT), prices remained at around BRL 102.00. In the port of Paranagu\u00e1 (PR), the bag rose from BRL 117.00 to BRL 119.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main factors of relief in the decline in domestic prices were a slight improvement in premiums and a more stabilized exchange rate behavior, with the dollar operating close to the level of BRL 5.00, which helped in some opportunities. Furthermore, due to the need for available soybeans, some trading companies bidded better prices, which ended up improving the country\u2019s sales level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
