SAFRAS’ weekly monitoring indicates that up to May 23, Brazil reaped 12% of the 23/24 crop, which corresponds to an advance of 3% compared to last week. Work is slightly below the same period last year, when growers had reaped 13% of the crop, below the five-year average, which revolves around 15% of production.

The arabica harvest is 7% complete, against 8% at the same time last year and a five-year average of 10% for the period. The conillon harvest is more advanced at 21% of the expected production, against 22% at the same time last year and 26% on average.

The climate should collaborate for the advancement of coffee harvesting and drying. Climate maps indicate little rain for coffee areas in the next two weeks. The crop profile has been positive, although the sample is still too small for any type of conclusion.

Follow the Safras Agency on our website.
