The estimate was disclosed by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado. If confirmed, it will be the biggest crop in history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In April, when the previous report was released, the projection was 155.08 mln tons. The increase over the previous estimate is 0.37%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>SAFRAS indicates an increase of 4.8% in the area, estimated at 44.39 mln hectares. In 2021\/22, planting occupied 42.34 mln hectares. The survey points out that the average yield should increase from 3,050 to 3,530 kg\/ha.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advance and completion of the harvest in most of the country confirmed the expectation of high average yields in important growing states. As a result, positive adjustments were made to the expected average yield in states across all regions, with emphasis on the states of Paran\u00e1, Mato Grosso, and Bahia, which are reaching yield records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>On the other hand, the state of Rio Grande do Sul again had its expected average yield reduced due to the weather problems that affected part of the state this season.
