The market expected the number at 2%. In the same period last year, sowing was 1% complete. The average for the period is 1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The slightly moist climate registered between April 10 and 16 allowed for an accelerated start of planting of the new crop in part of the main states of the growing belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Climate maps point to a period of greater moisture in the southern half and part of the central region of the growing belt between April 21 and 27, which could impede better work progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the period between April 28 and May 4, moisture is likely to be low in most of the growing belt, with no expected excess. This must allow a better advance of farm machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From now until September, the US weather market will dominate the market\u2019s attention. We expect strong volatility in the coming few months, but remember that El Ni\u00f1o years do not usually cause big problems for the US crop.
