In addition, albeit at a lesser extent, the harvest is delayed in Paran\u00e1. In the Midwest and Southeast, work is moving toward the final stretch, with the harvest virtually finished in Mato Grosso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to research carried out by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado, through March 31, 74.4% had been reaped from a total sown area of 43.859 mln hectares, equivalent to approximately 32.609 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 67.0%. In the same period of the previous year, the percentage was 80.4%. The five-year average for the period is 75.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Rio Grande do Sul, out of a total sown area of 6.57 mln hectares, 9% were reaped, or approximately 591 thousand hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 5%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 20%. The five-year average for the period is 28.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Paran\u00e1, from a total area of 5.75 mln hectares, 81% were reaped, or the equivalent of approximately 4.658 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 63%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 86%, while the five-year average for the period is 85.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Mato Grosso, out of a total sown area of 11.8 mln hectares, 99% were reaped, or approximately 11.682 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 98%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 100%. The five-year average for the period is 99.0%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Mato Grosso do Sul, 95% were reaped, or the equivalent to approximately 3.914 mln hectares of a total sown area of 4.12 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 85%. In the same period last year, 99% had been reaped, while the five-year average for the period is 98.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Goi\u00e1s, from a total sown area of 4.46 mln hectares, 92% were reaped, or the equivalent of approximately 4.103 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 85%. In the same period last year, 98% had been reaped. The five-year average for the period is 91.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In S\u00e3o Paulo, from a total sown area of 1.35 mln hectares, 73% were reaped, or the equivalent of approximately 986 thousand hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 62%. In the same period last year, 93% had been reaped. The five-year average for the period is 92.0%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Minas Gerais, 82% were reaped, or the equivalent of approximately 1.722 mln hectares of a total sown area of 2.1 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 71%. In the same period last year, 95% had been reaped, while the five-year average for the period is 87.0%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Bahia, out of a total sown area of 1.95 mln hectares, 65% were reaped, or approximately 1.268 mln hectares. The previous week, the percentage was 60%. In the same period of the previous year, 78% had been reaped. The five-year average for the period is 40.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weather forecast maps now point to a period of low moisture over most states in the South, Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast regions between March 31 and April 6, which must favor a better advance of agricultural machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the period between April 7 and 13, the panorama must be very similar, but moisture must be a little higher in some sections of the states of Mato Grosso, Goi\u00e1s, and Bahia, besides the other states of the North and Northeast regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/safras.com.br\/\">Safras Agency<\/a>&nbsp;on our website.
