With regular weather in most states, work advanced at a good pace in the country, which keeps the pace above the five-year average for the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; According to a survey carried out by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado, until October 28, Brazilian growers sowed 46.8% of the total area expected for the country in the 2022\/23 season. The percentage is equivalent to approximately 20.057 mln hectares, out of a total of 42.887 mln hectares estimated for planting. In the previous week, the index was 32.4%. In the same period last year, the percentage reached 51.0%, while the five-year average for the period is 40.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Rio Grande do Sul, out of a total area estimated at 6.4 mln hectares, 4% were sown, or approximately 256 thousand hectares. In the previous week, the index was 1%. In the same period of the previous year, the index was 6%, while the five-year average for the period is 7.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Paran\u00e1, 47% of the area destined for soybeans were sown. The percentage is equivalent to approximately 2.703 mln hectares planted, out of a total of 5.750 mln hectares estimated for the state. In the previous week, the index was 36%. In the same period last year, the percentage reached 63%, while the five-year average is 65.2% for the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Mato Grosso, out of an expected total area of 11.85 mln hectares, 84% have already been sown, equivalent to approximately 9.954 mln hectares. In the previous week, the index was 67%. In the same period last year, the index was 83%. The five-year average for the period is 66.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Mato Grosso do Sul, the planting reaches 60% of a total area estimated at 3.85 mln hectares, equivalent to approximately 2.31 mln hectares. In the previous week, the index was 29%. In the same period last year, the index was 67%. The five-year average for the period is 54%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Goi\u00e1s, out of an expected total area of 4.2 mln hectares, 60% were sown, equivalent to 2.52 mln hectares. In the previous week, the index was 33%. In the same period last year, the index was also 59%, while the five-year average for the period is 38%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In S\u00e3o Paulo, out of a total area estimated at 1.25 mln hectares, 60% were sown, or approximately 750 thousand hectares. In the week earlier, the index was 35%. In the same period last year, the index was 65%, while the five-year average for the period is 35.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Minas Gerais, of an expected total area of 2.05 mln hectares, 30% were sown, or approximately 615 thousand hectares. In the previous week, the index was 18%. In the same period last year, the index was 55%, while the five-year average for the period is 31.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Bahia, out of an area estimated at 1.85 mln hectares, 6% were sown, or the equivalent of 111 thousand hectares. In the previous week, the index was 3%. In the same period last year, the index was 20%, while the five-year average for the period is 8.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Weather forecasts now point to a period with moisture in all growing states between October 30 and November 5. The largest accumulated volumes are forecast for the states of Par\u00e1, Maranh\u00e3o, Piau\u00ed, Tocantins, Bahia, and part of the states of Goi\u00e1s and Minas Gerais. The western region of the states of Santa Catarina and Paran\u00e1 must also receive more relevant cumulative precipitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Between November 6 and 12, moisture must continue in most states but with lower accumulations.
