The focus turns to the South Region, where work remains behind schedule but is already moving towards the final stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a survey carried out by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado, until May 13, 97.3% had been reaped from a total planted area of \u200b\u200b40.78 mln hectares, equivalent to approximately 39.77 mln hectares. In the previous week, the percentage was 95.5%. In the same period of the previous year, the percentage was 98.3%. The five-year average for the period is 98.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Rio Grande do Sul, out of a total sown area of \u200b\u200b6.3 mln hectares, 84% were reaped, or approximately 5.292 mln hectares. In the previous week, the percentage was 75%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 95%. The five-year average for the period is 97.5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Paran\u00e1, out of a total area of \u200b\u200b5.65 mln hectares sown, 100% were reaped. The week earlier, the percentage was 100%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 100%, while the five-year average for the period is 100%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In S\u00e3o Paulo, out of a total sown area of \u200b\u200b1.22 mln hectares, 100% were reaped. The week earlier, the percentage was 100%. In the same period as the previous one, the percentage was 100%, while the five-year average for the period is 100%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Bahia, out of a total sown area of \u200b\u200b1.78 mln hectares, 100% were reaped. The week earlier, the percentage was 100%. In the same period last year, the percentage was 99%.
