The states of Paran\u00e1, Mato Grosso, and Mato Grosso do Sul have already ended sowing, while the other states in the Midwest and Southeast have advanced to the latter areas. Despite this, the work remains a little behind the normal average for this period of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; According\nto a survey conducted by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado, until December 4, Brazilian\ngrowers sowed 88.9% of the total area expected for the country. The percentage\nis equivalent to approximately 34.055 million hectares sown, out of a total\narea of 38.325 million hectares estimated for planting in the country. In the\nprevious week, the index was 83.3%. In the same period of the previous year,\nthe percentage reached 90.8%, while the five-year average for the period is\n91.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Rio\nGrande do Sul, out of a total area estimated at 6.08 million hectares, 62% were\nsown, or nearly 3.77 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was 48%,\nwhile in the same period last year it reached 84%. The five-year average for\nthis time of year is 81.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Paran\u00e1,\n100% of the area destined for soybeans were sown, or approximately 5.6 million\nhectares. In the previous week, the index was 99%. In the same period last\nyear, the percentage reached 99%, while the five-year average is 98.2% for the\nperiod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Mato\nGrosso, out of a total expected area of 10.29 million hectares, 100% were sown.\nIn the previous week, the index was 99%. In the same period of the previous\nyear, the percentage was 99%. The five-year average for the period is 99%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Mato\nGrosso do Sul, out of a total area estimated at 3.25 million hectares, 100%\nwere sown. In the previous week, the index was 99%. In the same period last\nyear, the percentage was 99%, while the five-year average for the period is\n99.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Goi\u00e1s,\nout of a total expected area of 3.795 million hectares, 94% were sown, or\nnearly 3.57 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was 88%, while in\nthe same period last year the percentage was 98%. The five-year average for the\nperiod is 97.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In S\u00e3o\nPaulo, out of a total area estimated at 1.08 million hectares, 95% were sown,\nor approximately 1.03 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was\n87%, while in the same period of the previous year the percentage was 98%. The\nfive-year average for the period is 97.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Minas\nGerais, out of a total area estimated at 1.755 million hectares, 98% were sown,\nor nearly 1.72 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was 92%. In\nthe same period last year, the percentage was 95%, while the five-year average\nfor the period is 94.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Bahia,\nout of a total area estimated of 1.67 million hectares, 90% were sown, or\napproximately 1.5 million hectares. In the previous week, the index was 80%,\nwhile in the same period last year the percentage was 80%. The five-year\naverage for the period is 81.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Santa\nCatarina, the planting is 85% complete of an expected total area of 750\nthousand hectares, which is equivalent to nearly 638 thousand hectares. In the\nprevious week, the index was 70%.
