In the Midwest and Southeast regions, the work progressed well and entered the final stretch. In the South, there was a slower evolution in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, while in Paran\u00e1 the work also advanced to the final stretch. In the North and Northeast, the business pace was strong in Bahia, with the other states registering a more timid evolution. The sowing pace is again lagging behind the normal national average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nAccording\nto a survey conducted by SAFRAS &amp; Mercado, until November 27,\nBrazilian producers sowed 83.3% of the total area expected for the\ncountry. The percentage is equivalent to approximately 31.922 million\nhectares sown, out of a total of 38.325 million hectares estimated\nfor planting in the country. In the previous week, the index was\n74.1%. In the same period of the previous year, the percentage\nreached 84.3%, while the five-year average for the period is 84.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nRio Grande do Sul, out of a total area estimated at 6.08 million\nhectares, 48% were sown, or approximately 2.92 million hectares. In\nthe previous week, the index was 36%, while in the same period last\nyear it reached 73%. The five-year average for this time of year is\n66.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nParan\u00e1, 99% of the area destined for soybeans have been sown. The\npercentage is equivalent to approximately 5.54 million hectares\nplanted, out of a total of 5.6 million hectares estimated for the\nstate. In the previous week, the index was 95%. In the same period\nlast year, the percentage reached 99%, while the five-year average is\n96.2% for the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nMato Grosso, out of an expected total area of \u200b\u200b10.29\nmillion hectares, 99% have already been sown, equivalent to\napproximately 10.19 million hectares. In the previous week, the index\nwas 96%. In the same period of the previous year, the percentage was\n99%. The five-year average for the period is 97.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nMato Grosso do Sul, out of a total area estimated at 3.25 million\nhectares, 99% have already been sown, equivalent to nearly 3.22\nmillion hectares. In the previous week, the index was 95%. In the\nsame period last year, the percentage was 92%, while the five-year\naverage for the period is 97.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nGoi\u00e1s, out of a total expected area of \u200b\u200b3.795\nmillion hectares, 88% were sown, or approximately 3.34 million\nhectares. In the previous week, the percentage was 69%, while in the\nsame period last year the percentage was 85%. The five-year average\nfor the period is 91.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nS\u00e3o Paulo, out of a total area estimated at 1.08 million hectares,\n87% were sown, or nearly 940 thousand hectares. In the previous week,\nthe percentage was 50%, while in the same period of the previous year\nthe percentage was 96%. The five-year average for the period is\n94.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nMinas Gerais, out of a total estimated area at 1.755 million\nhectares, 92% were sown, or approximately 1.62 million hectares. In\nthe previous week, the index was 86%. In the same period last year,\nthe percentage was 83%, while the five-year average for the period is\n86.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nBahia, out of a total area estimated at 1.67 million hectares, 80%\nwere sown, or nearly 1.34 million hectares. In the previous week, the\nindex was 47%, while in the same period last year the percentage was\n55%. The five-year average for the period is 65.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nIn\nSanta Catarina, the planting is 70% complete of an expected total\narea of \u200b\u200b750\nthousand hectares, which is equivalent to approximately 525 thousand\nhectares. In the previous week, the index was 65%. In the same period\nof the previous year, the percentage was 95%, while the average for\nthe period is 87.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\nWeather\nforecasts point to little or no moisture in the Midwest, Southeast,\nNortheast and part of the North region in the period between up to\nDecember 3, which again raises concerns.
