The states of Paran\u00e1 and Mato Grosso continue to\nstand out, but the state of Mato Grosso do Sul has already started the work. This\nseason\u2019s harvest remains behind the normal average due to initial delay and\nrainfall in some of the regions that are already reaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to research carried out by SAFRAS &\nMercado, until January 17, 1.5% of a total sown area of \u200b\u200b37.032 million tons were reaped,\nequivalent to roughly 545 thousand hectares. The five-year average for the\nperiod is 2.1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Paran\u00e1, out of a total area of \u200b\u200b5.56 million hectares, 1%\nwas reaped, equivalent to approximately 56 thousand hectares. The five-year\naverage for the period is 3.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Mato Grosso, out of a total sown area of \u200b\u200b9.78 million hectares, 5%\nwere reaped, or approximately 489 thousand hectares. The five-year average for\nthe period is 4.5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
