The coffee harvest has advanced more slowly, which is typical for the final period of work. The weekly monitoring from SAFRAS indicates that, up to August 31, Brazilian growers had already reaped 97% of the 21/22 crop or nearly 55.06 million bags from the production estimated at 56.50 million. The harvest pace is slightly below the same period last year when 98% had already been reaped, but in line with the 5-year average for the period.
The arabica harvest has reached 96% of the expected production, still below the same time last year and the historical average for the period, both at 97%. Preliminary signs indicate a good quality of cup and bean size, albeit with a low volume of production. The conillon harvest is already finished.
