Links deste artigo

Porto Alegre, May 31th, 2024 – The Intercooperative Agricultural Federation (Coninagro) published a report indicating that Argentina hit the lowest sales of soybeans in the last 6 years. According to the entity, in mid-May, only 34% of the crop’s soybean production had been sold. This value is below the 36% of the previous two years and the average of 40% of the previous five years in the same period of the year.

In the previous five years, it was observed that, on average, at this time of year, 40% of production had been sold. However, in the last two crops, this percentage fell to 36%.

On the other hand, in tons, the number is the highest in the last three years, considering the previous year, marked by extreme drought. The number of tons sold until mid-May reached the highest level for the last three years, despite the proportion of production being lower.
