Brazilian coffee growers sold 98% of 21/22 crop

   The 21/22 coffee season came to an end with very little coffee available due to the decline in production and faster sales, especially through sales in advance. The delayed harvest of Brazil’s 2022 season ended up leading to greater demand for coffee remainders. The price rose at the end of June, which helped to unlock some deals in this final stretch of the season. Thus, until July 12, sales of the 21/22 crop in Brazil reached 98% of the expected production, according to SAFRAS’ monthly monitoring. The sales flow is slightly above the same period last year, when 97% of the crop had been sold by growers. It is also higher than the five-year average for the period, which is around 96% of production.
